Project description: An approx. 500 m long conveyor bridge construction connected the former Westerholt colliery site with the nearby former Hassel coking plant site. Among other things, the belt bridge ran over a multi-lane motorway, crossed a regional railway line and crossed an allotment garden site in use. With the closure of the mine and the associated coking plant, the conveyor bridge also became dispensable from a technical and operational point of view and had to be dismantled in a controlled manner.
